Most children and adults can benefit from orthodontics, but as we all know, this treatment can be costly. You may be asking yourself how much does Invisalign cost? And how you can afford to pay this expense so that you can have the smile you desire?

First and foremost, the overall cost of any orthodontic treatment depends on the complexity of the case, the patient’s age, the type of appliances used, and the expected treatment duration. At your initial visit, Dr. Walt or Dr. Matta will complete a complimentary thorough clinical examination to give you your treatment plan options and what to expect in terms of the cost of the treatment.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment method that consists of wearing a series of custom, clear and removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. The aligners are made from a flexible, thermoplastic plastic called SmartTrack, and are designed and created exclusively for Invisalign. Dr. Walt and Dr. Matta work collaboratively on every case right here in Vaughan, creating a unique, digital treatment plan that allows for precise movement of your teeth. The aligners are designed by the doctors digitally in conjunction with little bumps glued on your teeth to allow for complex tooth movement. Each aligner is customized to apply the exact force to the right place on your teeth at the right time based on your treatment plan to achieve the optimal result. Dr. Walt is a VIP Diamond Invisalign provider, meaning his experience level is through the roof!

Invisalign treatment allows for digital, precise treatment plans, and clear aligners, meaning no bulky brackets, no wires, but most importantly, no food restrictions that come with traditional braces!

Who Should Get Invisalign?

Invisalign’s technological advancements make it possible to fix all common teeth-straightening and bite issues. Whether simple or complex, from overbite to underbite, and all that’s in-between! Invisalign treatment can be an excellent solution for both adults and teens alike.

I’m sure this all sounds great but how much does Invisalign cost?

What to Expect During Treatment

To begin your Invisalign treatment, you will come into our office for a complimentary consultation. At your consultation, Dr. Walt and Dr. Matta will evaluate your smile, and map out a customized digital treatment plan specific to correcting any orthodontic conditions and concerns. About 4 weeks after your consultation and signing your treatment contract, you will come back Walt Orthodontics to receive your first aligners. We will then see you every 2 to 3 months for check-ups until your treatment is complete!

The good news that there will be no payment required until after your treatment contract has been signed and you’re fully aware of all associated costs of Invisalign or alternative orthodontic options.

What Does Aftercare Typically Look Like?

Once we have reached our desired orthodontic outcome, and you and the doctors are happy, we remove any attachments on your teeth, and provide you with retainers. In some cases, we glue a fixed wire to the first four teeth in the back (typically on the lower, but it can be placed on the upper teeth as well). Included in all treatment is one set of removable retainers as well.

Just because you receive your retainers, doesn’t mean we leave you out in the cold! We continue to monitor you for one full year after your treatment, checking on your retainers periodically to make sure they fit well and that you have not had any relapse in alignment.

Potential Aftercare Costs

  • Extra sets of retainers
  • Broken lingual fixed wire after one year of retention
  • Retreatment for shifting teeth due to not wearing retainers

Curious About Insurance?

Insurance companies typically don’t make it easy to determine orthodontic coverage or to understand how they will reimburse you for orthodontic fees.

Our financial coordinator can help you determine your insurance coverage, ensure your payment option meets the policy requirements and provide you with the forms needed to receive your reimbursement directly and as quickly as possible.
